miket Can see why you were offered so much for it. I suppose some people would think I'm crazy for not taking him up on his offer. Not here of course, we're all the same kind of crazy about rocks!

That is incredibly awesome, Mike. So happy for you that you found it.
As for keeping it instead of selling it, some things are just not for sale at any price. Forever you will look at that rock, and remember the joy of finding it.

I'm just curious to see if I can actually move the pictures over from the other thread... EDIT - THESE ARE MIKE'S PICS OF HIS FAIRBURN - THEY'RE NOT MY PICS - AND NOT MY FAIRBURN - DANGIT! LOL [/div] Ok, here's the first one that I found on Wednesday. It's pretty decent, not great but still a Fairburn. First 2 pics are wet, of course it looks better that way.

Those are nice jasoninsd! It's hard to tell from the pics but they look to me like some of those might cause you some grief when you cut them...good luck and don't forget pictures! I have the same hangup when it comes to cutting Fairburns that I've found. Teepees, other agates and jaspers no problem. Maybe it's because you have to put so much "work" into finding Fairburns? Ok, it's not really work. It's a great adventure, a treasure hunt, time spent with my kids, a chance to get away from everything and just enjoy being outside! The Fairburns are just a bonus.

Found these over the Holiday, camped out there 3 days to do so! Kind of near the agate fields.
