I live in SW Utah and we've been opening for a couple of weeks, still some restrictions. Wife and I are older, I'm 76, but have no real health issues. When restaurants opened for dine in we were there first day but eating on a patio. This week I decided to get out and enjoy the late Spring, enough of staying close to home. Hope all your states start opening and allow you to enjoy thing, again! Tuesday we went to the Pine Valley area of Dixie N.F.: A Western Tanager, rare for me to see one:

Given, what I know of and have traveled through S/W Utah, it must have been a nice change of pace to get out into to some greenery.........! Glad to hear mobility is back and enjoyable..........That's why we took our trip coupe of weeks ago.

Beautiful pics. Looks so relaxing. Many thanks for sharing and glad you were able to get out and have fun. RocksInNJ I'm from NJ, moved to Utah 15 years ago, have a daughter there. Sure wish they'd relax some of the restrictions for you folks, possibly June 1?

We've explored SW Utah; sure is pretty. Driving through the Escalante Staircase was a little nerve wracking to me, but not to husband. What a lovely trip you had! Thanks!

Win Glad you got out into nature. And pizza! Next time you're in Cedar City, stop by. Some friends & I are going to Topaz Mtn this weekend. It'll be my first time back since 1969! I'm not big on crystals, but it'll be a fun time away from yardwork. Lynn

I lived in Salt Lake City for 11 years and I sure do miss the mountains and the scenery -- but not the winters! Your pictorial essay brings back treasured memories of outings, especially to the Uintas but to the southern part of the state as well. The state's Travel Council slogan, "Life elevated," certainly describes the Utah experience. Thanks for posting.

Beautiful area and photos. The snowman reminds me of one my daughter made on July 4th when we were at Wolf Creek Pass in Colorado.

Beautiful up there. I've fished that Pine Valley Res. a couple of times and found Trout. There is a small stream coming from that Res. which has some Brook Trout in it also. I'm looking to be in the hills beyond Veyo tomorrow actually. Probably pick up some Pies on Main street if they are open on my way out.
Thanks for sharing! I like anything with mountains and pines in it!

That stream is actually the Santa Clara River, a friend has found a spot just below the town where he's had good success.
