This is a one pound piece of Mookaite rough that I got from an Australian ebay seller. It was shipped on June 5 and arrived in Los Angeles today. 22 days to swim from Australia to Los Angeles is not bad for a rock considering they aren't particularly buoyant. I hope to have it ready to slab next weekend. The shipping cost was twice that of the item. I don't know how deep the face pattern goes. There seems to be a lot of color in the rest of the piece.

Postage is really expensive here, 22 days is not too bad considering everything, it's normally about a week. The government is trying to privatise the post office so they are doing everything they can to make the service crappy.

I buy a lot online. Amazon is free but I factor in shipping into cost whenever shipping is charged. I like to buy multiple items from the same ebay seller because everything else ships free. This seller had mainly metaphysical items so there wasn't anything else I needed.
I was buying dvd from amazon.uk and the shipping was about the same as vat. I had someone from Canada asking if I would ship there. The U.S. postal rates really spoil a person.
