Huh, what's going on in that one?? Not enough fiber in its diet. You can tell that was a hard stool to pass by how hard and lumpy it is. 🎶That dino took his BM… in the PM🎶 Bob's Burgers is the best!

OK, here's the deal. I recently received an exquisite stone knife from Rick and to help me commemorate the occasion I offered a nice coprolite specimen to the first person to identify Rick as the maker of the art. Brian figured it out quickly but says he still has coprolite I previously sent him, so give the prize to a newbie. Are you confused yet? Well, all you need to know is if you are a RTH newbie with less than 200 posts and if you want the prize just post on this thread saying that you want it and I'll send it to you. It's a cut and polished coprolite specimen that is a pretty good example so don't be bashful in laying claim to the prize. Then we'll all celebrate together and thanks to Rick and Brian for all the excitement. This is the thread responsible for the drama: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/105446/guess

This is the thread responsible for the drama: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/105446/guessThis thread has been one of my favorites on RTH and a source of much enjoyment and education. Randy has been so generous over the years it only seems right to inspire someone new to this thread with one of his amazing specimens! I shared with Randy tonight that my daughter came home from school asking if we had any more coprolite that we could give to her science teacher this year. She’s been giving coprolites to all of her science teachers and the teachers and kids love it! My daughter spent a good bit of time tonight polishing a coprolite and hopes to have it finished up tomorrow.

Here's my latest batch of dino poop cabs. Nice colors but a few problems with undercutting. Still have to polish the backs. More in process but going is slow due to a little problem 10 days ago with setting myself on fire. When filling my alcohol lamp preparing to dop I unknowingly spilled alcohol on the bench and my left hand. When I lit it, boom! Things were exciting for a few moments with both my hand and hair on fire. I've been doing this for many years but I got careless. Alcohol burns with a nearly invisible flame and I didn't realize I was on fire until I got 2nd degree burns on three fingers of the left hand. Be careful!

gemfeller those are beautiful and thanks for sharing. I love the dark background in the photo that sets off the stones. Burns on the fingers are no fun.

My daughter spent over an hour polishing this one using diamond polishing pads up through 3000 grit. Her teacher will love it!

Dang gemfeller! Scary! I'm glad you're doing better. Thanks. I'm happy it wasn't a lot worse. Alcohol fires are sneaky -- they burn with an almost invisible flame. Fortunately I saw it in time to prevent much worse damage including a house fire.

Glad you are ok and house is still up! The older I get, the more I have to tell myself to slow down and be careful. But ....
