Wow, I had no idea! I thought this was going to be a 4-way tie. I've had a very busy day and didn't know the outcome until an hour ago when I logged in. What a surprise! Thanks to all who sent congratulations! And thanks for the great cabs everyone entered, especially miket , victor1941 and stephan . It was a real squeaker all the way. Special thanks to Tommy for the preforms he supplied to entrants and his hard work running the contest! I hope the turnout for this competition is repeated in future contests. It's great to see all this talent on display. Now, when I catch my breath, I'll head to the slab pile to see what kind of jasper I want to enter in the current contest -- if my hands hold out. I've been slammed with a sudden onset of arthritis in my fingers that makes cutting cabs very painful. I hope it doesn't mean the end of cabbing for me. |

In the last year, I noticed arthritis in my thumbs. I saw a doctor who provided the diagnosis. His treatment recommendation was to modify my activities. I became more aware of what I used my thumbs for (a lot) and how I could use them less. I also iced and took anti inflammatory medication and the symptoms improved. Good luck and congratulations. |

I have my jasper preform picked out so Y'all better bring your 'A' game heehee.
Same offer stands - if anyone has no jasper to work with please send me a note and I'll send a grab bag.
