I'm partial to Festivus, myself. I especially like the "airing of grievances."

We need a national Rockhounding day. ;-) And not in the winter, as that would be a sick joke.

Mohs as already designated February 28th as Rock Day below the 41 parallel above the 30 parallel its all arbitrary actually Mohs suggest everyone create their own Rock Holiday daily hope all's well up in the north land pal

I thought the Rock Day in Feb was called Valentines. Some ladies expect a "rock" on that day.

We need a national Rockhounding day. ;-) And not in the winter, as that would be a sick joke. Depends on where you are. In many parts of California (ok, any non-snowy parts of the West Coast) winter would work quite nicely. We actually get rain then to wash off/expose rocks. Plus it's not a million degrees. Also beach agate, whale bone, wood, jade hunting is good, because the winter storms move some of the lighter sand off the beach, exposing the pretties.

OK. What the heck? I thought I posted this, but I can't find it.... Soon, I'll be able to hide my own Easter Eggs.
While it's not exactly a Holiday, it should be, so I'm posting it here. Today, 22 September is Register to Vote Day.

Apparently, also, at starting 13:30 PST today, Elon has created "Battery Day," even though World Battery Day already exists on 18 February.

If a vulture is around, something is dead, or will be soon.

Also good are a parliament of magpies and a scurry of squirrels.
