Thanks "Computers are like Old Testament Gods, lots of rules and no mercy." -Joseph Campbell "Close enough" doesn't seem to be a thing.

What about an “addle” of RTHers haha Considering I couldn't find my own thread, sadly, it fits.

Jean is the resident threadhound, great find! Thanks, Evan. I had actually put that in my previous post, but it seems no one picked up on it.

What about an “addle” of RTHers haha In Australia, New Zealand and Cornwall, amateur geogists are called "fossickers" so you would call their activities "fossicking." Wiki says so! I think of rockhounding as an outdoor activity enjoyed by people with rocks in their souls, out in the wild enjoying the fresh air, sunshine and scenery. A cross between searching for cool rocks and hoarding. Yeah, knave Evan, you could say many of us are addled.

Next time I find myself at the obligatory and tedious dinner party with mostly strangers and they ask me "and what do you do?" I'm going to haughtily lift my chin and declare with unconcealed arrogance "I am a fossiker." Then I will stare at them like anyone who doesn't know what a fossiker is would be the idiot we will mock for the rest of the evening. ... and then my wife will kill me as soon as she can get me alone.

You are welcome to use it, Randy RWA3006 . Just paraphrased from Wiki, lol. As for repercussions from your wife after you use it, you know that there are always trade-offs. But you will have had your fun! Vacant stares and dropped jaws from the peanut gallery, lol!

As I've aged my "filter" has been diminishing and it wouldn't be a far stretch for me to do it. When we were kids we would marvel and blush at what Grandpa would say to people. I've become Grandpa. I think it's part of the aging process, so I must be innocent.

As I've aged my "filter" has been diminishing and it wouldn't be a far stretch for me to do it. The only thing a filter is good for is cleaning a pool. My husband does not feel the same way, but it sure keeps things interesting. Sometimes both of us are surprised by what comes out (the good and the bad!). If I'm mad, he waits with great trepidation.

23rd September: Happy Checkers Day. Nope, not the game. The anniversary of the infamous Checkers Speech (68th).

Today, December 15, 2020 is National Cat Herders Day.
On Cat Herders Day, we recognize those whose life or job is like herding cats.
I'm sure you know someone that needs recognition.
