I have a large piece of what to me looks like quartz and I used a chemical solution to get the stained dirt removed and some of the crust off as well. I got as much of it off with the solution as I could and I would like to know what Dremel attachment I can use to either remove the little bit that's left or at least smooth the crusty pieces down so they aren't so jagged/sharp.

That looks to me to be Agate. Quartz crystals inside.
What are you planning on doing with it? If it's a shelf specimen I would leave it as is. Quite a nice specimen too by the way.

Looks like seam agate with Quartz, just as Pauls said.... Not much you can do with material like that, clean it and leave it as is... Nice material though..

It can be slabbed/sliced up for some unusual free form pieces as well. Not every piece will make the grade, but once in awhile you will strike a winner.
