So far, some of my favorite rocks are Mexican Crazy Lace, unakite, labradorite, rhodonite, maybe moonstone. I have a 12 pound tumbler of Mexican crazy lace that’s been going for 5 weeks and am hoping it will be ready for the vibe soon. So naturally, I’m already thinking about what I should tumble next. 😂 I just got into tumbling this year, and therefore need all the help I can get.😂 So, has anyone had much luck in tumbling any rocks I mentioned, (except for the Mexican crazy lace, since I already have that) and if so where you purchased it? Thanks for your input!

I had a few little chips of crazy lace in a mix bag I got, and now I've been wanting to order a few lbs. I've been wire wrapping a good deal of the stuff I've tumbled, but the only preshaping I can do right now is with a little Dremel. I'm undecided about whether I would be better off waiting until I have a way to cut them first.

Get some Agate and Petrified wood, Bloodstone is interesting and will work in the same batch. Tiger Eye will also work in the same batch. You've been getting nice results on your tumbles so far.

thebeef I would love to be able to shape rocks, as well as be able to slice them in order to see what’s inside. I’m thinking there might be a saw on my Christmas list😂I’m hoping to do some wire wrapping, as well make some charm bracelets with the small rocks I’ve polished.

pauls Theres so many choices! 😂 Agates are amazing. Maybe I’ll just order a 10 pound mix of my favorites that have the same mohs so I don’t have to choose just one. 😂

Go rockhounding and tumble your finds. Even if it's just common white quartz, I find it more satisfying and meaningful to tumble what I've gathered as opposed to what I've purchased.

crazysanman You’re right...my first batch was from my dirt road/gravel finds and I enjoyed it very much. However, In the area I live there are no native rocks worth tumbling. So, it’s either landscape rocks or order them online. 😂 Plus, my rotary tumbler is a 12 pounder and I need quite a bit to fill it. And of course, there are sooo many gorgeous rocks available online.😂

Thanks for the plug. The only problem is I buy far more from members here than I sell!
