Tumbling any flats can be a challenge but tumbling obsidian flats just complicates even further. This batch was probably 1/2 pound of stones to 3 pounds of filler. The only thing harder then tumbling obsidian is photographing it. I tried really hard but I still see dust or fibers from the rag on a couple. Batch Back lit obsidian Back lit obsidian Back lit obsidian Back lit obsidian One piece of blue goldstone that went along for the ride Thanks for looking Chuck

Gorgeous! There's something about looking at back-lit obsidian that is mesmerizing.

Absolutely superb, you get a pass on the rag fibers here.

Really inspiring! I hope to find some obsidian in a Mohave Desert location which I recently read about. So far I have found any in all of my fossicking! One can hope though!
