Another wonderful batch Chuck! I'm still floored every time with your photo skills! You've probably answered this for others before, but what camera are you using?

Those tumbled beautifully. I love number 1 and 9. They have so much going on inside of them.

Another wonderful batch Chuck! I'm still floored every time with your photo skills! You've probably answered this for others before, but what camera are you using? Thank you. I do get asked that question a lot. I stole the reply below from one of my previous posts to save me some typing. Only difference is that now both of my lamps are LED. I have mixed feelings regarding my rock photography. I always want good photos to post but I can honestly say I have never gone back to look at the thousands of tumbled rock photos I keep archived. I have purchased at least four cameras for taking pictures of rocks and two of those were nice DSLR models. I found the DSLR to be more work then they were worth for my task. My go to camera is actually one of my oldest point and shoot cameras. It is a Sony DSC-HX200V with a great Carl Zeiss lens on it. I liked this camera so much that I bought a much newer version of the same model thinking it would be better but I could never get the same results with the new and improved model. So this camera I am using to post pictures here is at least 5 years old and has really been beat to heck. My kids have taken it on trips to France, Spain and Alaska leaving it with actual visible scratches on the lens and the LCD is completely scuffed up. If you seen the camera in person you would never believe it still takes decent photos. My lighting setup is as generic as it gets. All photos taken in my basement with two flexible lights I position as needed. One light is LED and one is fluorescent to really confuse things. LOL I just took these photos. I shoot everything on auto and the only editing I ever do is the exposure to get the most realistic color possible. For the most part I just hit auto exposure on my photo editor. Hope that helps Chuck

Chuck, I'm so impressed by your photos that I just went and bought one of those cameras. Now I'll have to re-grind and re-tumble every stone I take a picture of. haha Or inspect them under magnification, at least, prior to taking photos.

I shoot everything on auto mode but I do make a quick change on the camera to adjust the exposure before I start a shoot. Chuck

Chuck, thanks for posting this. I was pretty sure you'd been asked a bunch of times because they really are THAT good!
