Good evening, and a Happy Thanksgiving to all! I am new to this site, and new to the lapidary arts in general. I hope to gain some useful info and insight as I progress this hobby, and meet awesome people as well.

Hey Mike, welcome to the forum from South Dakota. There definitely are some amazing forum members on here. What are you doing as far as "lapidary"? Tumbling? Hounding? Cabbing? Faceting? E...none of the above. (Just curious...) Happy Thanksgiving as well.

Welcome from the Desert Southwest! And I hope you are enjoying a Happy Holidays as well. I know I am. I ate more food last night than I probably have in the three nights which preceded it. Hehe. That said I need to get on the treadmill today, as it is cold and blistery outside right now.
I think that you should find all that you would ever want to know about rock tumbling hobby here, and more. Just take the time to read as much as you can. It will help round your knowledge. Early on, I used to selectively read articles without a full understanding of tumbling and made many purchases and tried techniques which could be considered experimental as best, achieving very poor results.
Hope to see you around!
