It's been a hot minute (or year!) I haven't gotten back to cabbing yet after faceting grabbed me by the throat and didn't let go, but this is probably the closest I've come yet.

Wow, that is a creative approach to tiger eye. I know how tough it is to be standing with a big piece of rough of that stuff, and trying to decide on what plane to slab it for the maximal buzz. Surprisingly your faceted specimen has many good flash planes, and some remarkably duller ones. Thanks for stretching our minds.

rockhobbyguy: I am very heartbroken to hear Lortone is going out of business. My motor on my 45c just went out and needs to be replaced. Since theses are now seemingly unavailable for good, does anyone know of another brand of motor that would work with a Lortone 45c.
