Only having one day/week off work has been tough. Am more than a little overwhelmed with everything I try to cram in my day off. Started making a daily list. Crossing off tasks when accomplished. That has helped some. Sleep is usually in 1-3 hour increments. Am easily woke up. Then cannot get back to sleep, as I am making a mental list of things I need to do that day. Phone also wakes me up when sleeping. Must leave phone on at all times in case Law Enforcement calls about tenants cattle being out. Have been receiving a lot of spam calls, all hours of the day/night.
I try to include some fun stuff daily. Fun as in sorting rocks/slabs/fossils/specimens and labeling the boxes/bins. Thankfully I took photos of everything purchased/gifted/traded upon arrival. Have a list of ID's for almost everything. Or, added the ID's to the photos. Same for my finds. This provides much needed relaxation. It is also helping me learn how to ID certain things. I pick something up and try to guess what it is. Then check the ID sheets on my computer.
My work schedule should be reduced within a month, but until then, I need to focus on work and my 2-4 legged family members. Also maintain my daily at home therapy for physical limitations. Do the best I can with everything else.
Any words of encouragement from those who have "been there, done that" would be appreciated. \ Thank you.

Hang in there, fernwood! Those work marathons are beyond exhausting. I’ve had a nice lull in my workload lately, but that has come to an end and the next two months will probably be brutal. The peaks and valleys come and go but in the end, it all seems to work out.

Must leave phone on at all times in case Law Enforcement calls about tenants cattle being out. Have been receiving a lot of spam calls, all hours of the day/night. I had similiar issues. One thing I did when I slept was set phone on do not disturb. Anyone I had that I wanted to be able to get through was added to favorites list. The DND function had a rule that allowed anyone on that list through. Additionally, if anyone called twice within 2 mins it let the call trough. That eliminated the txt beeps, car warranty, etc type calls.
