Brian, I am glad it induces tranquillity but working it is anything but tranquil! The stuff is like chalk. At any given moment large pieces can fracture off. Stabilizing and backing help. So does being flexible with the finished shaped.

As Teddy Roosevelt said, “Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty…” I’d say the results are definitely worth it. Which is something easy for me to say since I am the one enjoying the fruits of your labor. It must be even very difficult to get a matched set as you did for those earrings!
