Anyone here have any experience dying (dye-ing) quartz? I'm familiar with the quench crackling process, but, wondering if anyone has any examples of their own work? I have a near limitless supply of white/off-white quartz-and I am pretty bored with tumbling it at this point...might be nice to add some crazy colors.

I have started drifting past the white stuff unless it is interesting in some way. A dyeing method would be neat and make it more useful.

I have never seen anything on dying stone, my wife has several agate spheres that have been dyed but for the life of me I can't imagine how they do it !
