I say you need to post larger pictures!
Really, it would be a lot easier to see colors and details. 600 x 800 is a good size.

"Some kind of jasper" is actually perfect. My ID skills are still very rough (HAR HAR HAR) so I like to solicit input from people who have experience with a lot of different material. Most of what I'm used to ID'ing is standard tumbling fare.
