Found this a few weeks ago. Could this be unakite? Thanks

Epidote, colorless quartz, and feldspar is my guess. I have some unakite from near Santa Fe, NM and another purchased piece that all contain pink orthoclase feldspar.

Epidote, colorless quartz, and mica is my guess. I have some unakite from near Santa Fe, NM and another purchased piece that all contain pink orthoclase feldspar. Ok thank you. Found this in a steam in NJ and thought it was cool especially how smooth the one side was. So unakite always contains pink feldspar?

cdunn, change the "mica" to "feldspar" in my initial answer. I have several pieces that we collected on vacation near Santa Fe, NM that contained rock sections that had the unakite like blend but were part of a larger rock that I picture matched as epidote. The material I collected was float and had been scattered when a distant volcano exploded. There are RTH members that should be able to help in a positive ID.

At first glance it doesn't appear to be, or due to pictures/color display. If that flat surface is green, looks like just a flat coating of Epidote on a chunk of feldspar. Not the usual mix of the two that one expects for Unakite, unless the picture isn't showcasing it here. Here's a couple pieces from Michigan Mine def is more solid green. Those pics look nice.

Unakite comes from a lot of areas. We have a lot in Virginia. I think the hallmark for all locations is the pink/salmon feldspar in the green base.
