You guys sure did. Looks like you've got a lot of precipitation in the forecast for the next 10 days as well. It's Oregon though...of course there's precip in the forecast. I hope the white stuff doesn't stay around too long for you guys.

So far we have not had the ice storm but will find out my morning what is going to happen.

I saw it was calling for freezing rain for you guys. That's just as bad as the heavy wet snow and I bet you guys have both going on. There's going to be tons of damage like the downed power lines, but more heartbreaking will be all the broken tree branches. They usually can't handle the weight...
We've got snow over the last week, but the temps have been sub-zero, so the snow is "lightweight"...

We have been lucky so far down here on the McKenzie. They had a bunch of winter in the forecast but so far it has been rain. Cold rain!

I live 35-40 miles south of woodman, we got 1 1/2" of snow over 1/2" of ice. I've got enough 2-3" and smaller stuff down to keep my chipper busy for about half a day. Big piece of cedar tree came down on the road a little west of here.

Still a lot of people without power.

I'd rather have a foot of snow than a half inch of ice. Yuck. We had about 7" heavy snow here early this AM... now it's starting again, (not very hard) but it's warmed up to about 30, so with the salt the roads should be OK.

If I mention that it's 61 here, are you folks gonna throw virtual tomatoes ?

It’s pretty, at least.

Pretty isn't it. Well, after you are done with the shovel. I love a fresh snow but by March think "that's enough already". It is -18 C tonight, here in Ontario (Canada). Last night we got 30 CM of fresh snow. Won't be looking for rocks to cut outside for a while yet. I think I will toss another log on the fire and wander downstairs to make a cab. ;-)

Yuppers, that ice got us more than the snow! No power for a day or so, (some of my buddies, still without power).. Internet cell service and Cable, plus land line was out for a few days.. Trees were snapping everywhere in Dallas, Oregon... Started around 3am and continued all night!! Still cleaning up and restoring power in areas!
