Hello All
I enjoy finding my semi-precious stones in nature. Sometimes purchasing items from areas I've not yet traveled to. I am a beginner lapidary worker.
Some tools I use are a rotary and vibratory tumbler, as well as a Hi-tech 8" inch slant cabber. My husband works with me too. He's the best. We recently acquired a ten inch tile saw and understand it is not necessarily the best tool in lapidary work, but it is what we could afford as beginners.
Being beginners, we have started with wire wraps for our stones for our creation process. It would be great to learn how to best shape our stones and learn how to set them in other setting materials such as silver or gold or even threads used for macreme.
I am here to learn from others. Any suggestions are always welcome. I will never pretend to know more than anyone else; but will freely share what has worked for me thus far. I keep an open mind for better or more efficient ways of creating.
I appreciate your time to read this and learn about one of your newest members and wish you all the best.
Providence.

Hey Providence! Welcome to the forum from South Dakota! It seems we are using the same tools! I too have rotary tumblers, a vibratory tumbler, and the 8" slant cabber! I look forward to seeing and hearing about your projects here on the forum.

from Virginia.
Youtube has a plethora of tutorials on different styles of wire wrapping. We have a lot of wrappers here, too.
