Let me start off by saying Chuck ( Drummond Island Rocks ) started some threads not long ago highlighting some of his favorite pieces in his collection that he has done over time. I LOVE this idea and wanted to do something similar. I did ask him and he was fine if I also followed along with something similar. I know I enjoy seeing great tumbles and photos and hope that others appreciate this - if only 1/2 as much as I appreciate Chuck's threads! A thanks to Drummond Island Rocks for allowing me to copy in a sense. (I will not pretend to be quite as good at either the tumbles or the photos) Here is my first batch of some favorites. Some were earlier tumbles and had some flaws but still some favorite stones of mine. I plan on grinding some of these out and re-tumbling in the future once I receive my grinder. ~Grant Click here for FlickR album

Grant, I'm glad you decided to put this together. I love threads like these!!! In the individual pics, I like numbers...well, I went back to get the picture numbers, but I like too many of them equally well! I'd have say that orbicular is off the charts!

I think my favorite out of all these stones is that little blue lace. I think that may be the prettiest blue lace I've ever seen!

Thanks - that is a very nice compliment! My girls love blue or purple stones so I did a large batch of blue lace for them. I kept about 10 stones total. It was actually a challenging batch to get close-to-flawless pieces as it fractured easily.

I can see why these are some of your favorites. I esp like the OJ.

Sweet tumbles, Grant. Love the photos, too. I'm always going to be a sucker for Bots and Bahias, but I really dig those Condor agates also.

rockjunquie - OJ is some sweet stuff if you can find good material. That is one of my first tumbles from 2017 and since then I've had no luck finding more material that is decent! quartzilla - thank you! I started here years ago by watching various threads by several pros here Garage Rocker - thanks man. Bahias are so much fun. Those condors were a sweet stone too, I managed to get 25lb on EBAY for quite cheap. They weren't the killer cutters because they had been windowed/screened - but they were still pretty neat. Did you see my old Condor thread with all of them?

Thank you for sharing those! They are all beautiful and your photos are excellent.
I hope Chuck has inspired more to follow his example because these are some of my favorite posts.
That Bahia agate is incredible! It looks like some an artistic sea cucumber. And the layers and colors of the ocean jasper are fantastic.
I hope this is just the first of many posts of your favorites!
