Hello. I’m just a beginner. I know nothing except for the fact that I must love rocks because I’m constantly distracted into looking down anytime I’m somewhere with rocks. (That can be dangerous! Lol!) I especially like sparkly (quartz) but also attracted to colorful banding. I don’t know....🤷🏻♀️ Something just “clicks” with certain rocks. I take them home, clean them, and just save them. I’m from Missouri. I’ve seen YouTube videos of people finding tons of “quartz geodes” in certain parts of Missouri but I’ve never been that lucky. It’s hard for me to believe there are any left! Lol! Mostly I just have rocks I have found along creeks that may have parts of sparkly quartz here and there but the rest of the rock is ugly with deep holes. Usually I clean those up and plant succulents in the deeper holes & crevices and display them in my landscaping. I just bought a rock tumbler but haven’t used it yet. Seems complicated and I don’t want to ruin the few rocks I do have. I came here just to read and learn where to start. Thanks for listening! 😊
