Posting a few pictures of my favorite agate hunting grounds and the agates in their natural habitat (my parents landscaping rock). All the decent agates were picked years ago but still a few stragglers. Found 3, and took a few pictures from before I snatched them to give others some practice. I'll probably use these sometime when people ask what they're looking for. Hope you enjoy! Here it is! Do you see it? Not much banding but it's there... There it is... Ok last one. Bloop. Gotchya Hope you enjoyed, nice to get out even if it's just around the house.

Yout have good eyes! I can't make them out, but it's great practice :-) Could you post show where in the pictures each agate is? It would be easier if they wore Waldo's striped shirt.

Nice pics and a great "exercise"! I keep telling myself I'm going to take a picture of a Fairburn agate when I find it...before I pick it up. However, I haven't been able to stop myself and remember to take the picture before snatching it up! LOL

Always good to have practice pictures. (I want my spray bottle ) I am usually hunting along the shore line. Wet rock hunting is much easier then dry rock hunting.

I'm a complete failure at seeing rocks in situ.
