Oh, if bidding reaches $300.00, I will send the winner a SFRB of mixed Apache Tears, Petosky Stone Fossils and a few pieces of stone counter pieces that could be sliced for cabs/tumbling or broken apart for tumbling. Will not be able to post a photo until tomorrow AM. So bidding has reached $310 by Brian. This puts fernwood's SFRB into the mix. So, Tommy the date of the end of auction should be extended another 24 hours to Thursday the 15th. Also, amygdule's contribution should be changed to a MFRB (Technically, this one could change the date as it went from SFRB to MFRB...I would say no, but that's not my call, it's not my auction. LOL). Nice additions you two - as well as all the other contributors to this auction. I think it's really getting interesting!

jasoninsd , originally I told Tommy that I wanted to offer a mfrb, but I overlooked the part about the 24 hour extension. Also, if the bidders have any preferences, I can make adjustments to the box of rocks.

I love those beach finds of yours. Besides, the generosity of the folks contributing is overwhelming! I only wish I had interesting rocks to add to the pot, but the best I can do is keep bidding to make those contributions as beneficial as possible.

I just got back into town, who's the current high bidder? Brian is currently (and I do mean currently) the high bidder at $310...and the auction is extended to Thursday 10pm due to all the generous donations (including yours).

It's been over 48 hours since the last bid, lets take it to $325 (for now, I'm sure there will be plenty more action before it's over).

Love to see this! I just hope whoever wins this has a plan for sneaking this much material into the house.

That thought has crossed my mind at least a few times with every new bid! The 33B had already been feeling too small...

Sorry for the delay. Rain and work schedule were not my friend lately. Discovered I had less Petosky Stone left than I thought. Including some old Morgan Hill Poppy Jasper to make up for it. This was supposedly collected when the vein was being dug up for the highway, long ago. One counter piece is Larvikite from either Norway or Canada. Will fill the box with some surprises. Might personalize with some things that the winning bidder would like. I have a huge variety of tumble size pieces.

The longer this goes, the more I search, the more I cut, the more I find, the more tumble fodder I add. This is going to be hard to fit in a MFRB. Don't know how much more it can hold before an upgrade is needed. Here are some additions to my original offering:
Should be a breeze, I did a pre-grind on the tile saw. Should be an interesting tumble with some exterior color left intact.
Challenge, but beautiful. Don't expect perfection.
Hard as hell, will require patience. Fracture free and makes a stunning tumble with a lot of depth.
Nothing pleases the crowd like some bling.
Flint Ridge...could it look any different? High expectations for this one.
Don't know how the quartz cap will fare, but this is picture jasper-esque, regardless.
Near and dear to the heart, this will not likely be a perfect tumble, but it will be something in your tumble bowl that not many others can say they have. A couple pieces of Kentucky agate.
This is not meant to be an "add-on", as it represents a minute portion of the bounty offered, overall. I am just having fun adding to this box sitting here staring at me. That, and I am a self professed photo junkie with fresh subjects at hand...

Nothing better than some beautiful pictures to stir up some new bids! I love the captions on those, Garage Rocker! $365 (since there really is more than a year’s worth of material in this auction!)

Brian - You made it sound like one of those "Save the Whales" type commercials: "For less than a dollar a day..." Garage Rocker - Awesome "carrot" pictures! What in the world is that material in the 5th picture? It's gorgeous!

What in the world is that material in the 5th picture? It's gorgeous! Lol! Yes, for only a dollar a day I will be able to keep my kids off the streets and staring at a pile of rocks (while they wait for me to build a bigger tumbler). When you put it that way, this is a bargain!
