Brian No need to bid against yourself. $501.00 is my final bid. I will be at work when this auction ends. Will check when I get home late tonight. I hate to bid against someone who won’t be able to bid again, so I will make a promise that if I win, I will send a MFRB with a mix of the winnings to you, fernwood! $525

Just reached my max for bidding. Put my final bid in early. Really hope you are not out bidded on this. You have bid on so many of these auctions.

Poor mail delivery person who gets stuck with this task! LOL I know my PO would leave a note in my mailbox if more than one heavy (over 20 lb.) package arrives the same day. Tell me to come to PO and get them. They will leave one package per day. Considering my PO has limited hours for pick ups, this would be a challenge for me. They will hold packages for one week, then return them to sender. They will also answer phone calls at times, but this is hit or miss. Bonus is that they recognize me when I come into PO and call me by name. Gotta love small town, rural PO's. I'm very unimpressed with your PO customer service. It's obvious they don't have to compete for business. If you win this auction we could trickle the rocks out to you so we don't overwhelm the poor oppressed servants. eta, didn't see the subsequent bid on the next page. Regardless who wins it might still be a good idea to trickle the deliveries out to the winner.

This would probably quadruple the tumbling supplies we have and as has been noted, my 6-year old would graduate high school before we tumble it all.

I'm totally guesstimating, but I think there has to be over 150 pounds of material being offered up in this auction. That's just the weight...not taking into account the amazing "types" of material being offered up. So, at the current bid, that's $3.33 a pound which I feel is a steal for most of the material I'm seeing in this auction. Poor mail delivery person who gets stuck with this task! Serves them right for not having LFR boxes at my local PO! LOL

Whoever wins ... this is going to be like Christmas! All those packages arriving, probably at different times, too!

Sitting here with pen and pad coming up with my final bid, it is quite the math equation. {(Value (to me) of the material offered - The shipping costs saved I would normally incur + The good feelings of supporting a worthy cause) x (The sap factor knowing that Brian has lost out on other auctions) - (There are some materials in here that I already have Ă· So what) + The consideration of filling 50lbs. of rotary barrels - A financial responsibility to the household + Wait a second, didn't Brian win that California Gravel auction!?! There was some really sweet material in there. + 4(Wife did say that she didn't like the bare spot we left in the rock garden a few weeks ago when we brought a bunch of material inside to tumble, when I told her we would have to buy more rocks she didn't actually come out against it)} Ă· What about all of the other material I've been looking at?= $603. Whatever the outcome, this was a blast! Going to spend the evening with the family, I'll check in tomorrow.

I going without any logic at this point, so let's just say $615. (Based on mental calculations, that may or may not be the final weight of this auction after all of the latest additions.)

Congratulations Brian!
To me this was a real cheap way of getting some choice rocks. If you had to visit all them area that they come from you would spend much more that the cost of them. After a trip out west this year and about 12000 miles later I have a lot lot less to show for my efforts and spent many thousands of dollars. Have fun and show us your achievements with them.

Now, the next challenge will be how to ship all these rocks in a USPS proof box.

Congrats Brian! I'm going to pay special care to make sure that the last box I added is loaded with quality pieces for you to enjoy. What an amazing journey of an auction Thanks everyone who got involved and offered up valuable rocks - and those that bid - and the encouragers and cheerleaders I wasn't sure how this was going to go but y'all made it fun and meaningful!
