Heck, Brian's house is going to look like the pictures from that estate sale in Indiana by the time all these boxes get to him! LOL What's the over/under that Brian will be getting an additional tumbler(s) within the next two months! LOL

Brian Congrats on a hard fought win. You will be having lots of fun in the upcoming weeks. Someone had mentioned we might consider staggering shipping the boxes so they do not all come at once. What do you prefer?

Woohoo! I feel like I just won the rock auction of a lifetime! Or the rock auction that will last a lifetime!
In all sincerity, the real thanks should go to all of the people that donated their time, effort, and hard-earned rocks to this auction. The generosity of the folks that donated to this was amazing!
I love the fact that the donations were rocks that were collected, gathered or shared by individuals here over the years and that each of those rocks has a story to tell. And now that I have more rocks that I can possibly use, I hope to be able to share some of them with others as well!
So all I can really say is thank you to everyone who donated, posted or bid!

That was a very sweet auction, for sure. Be aware, that one never knows what will be in their boxes upon arrival. This is in addition to what was listed. Many members here enhance boxes with other items. So your rock auction of a lifetime, might just cover two lifetimes.

Big congrats Brian! I was only half-kidding about that math equation, and you are still getting a heck of a deal at that price. Thanks to all of the members who offered their materials for this auction, I know if I were to see them selling something down the line that I would certainly remember their generosity here. Now somebody put some primo material up for sale in the Marketplace, I have some rock money burning a hole in my pocket!

Congratulations Brian ! Whoot Whoot! Thanks, Jason! Whoo hoo!!!!! This was AWESOME!!!!! Congrats Brian !!!
Thanks to everyone who bid and to those that donated. This was a killer auction.
Thanks, Tela! I echo those thanks!
This auction was epic!
Thank you Tommy and all the rest of the folks who donated! Special thanks to jasoninsd for keeping track of everything! Thanks, Robin! I agree that jasoninsd deserves extra thanks for keeping this one on track! I certainly forgot what was happening at times. Thanks amygdule! Those Oregonian peas are going to be fun! My kids will finally like peas for a change! Congratulations Brian! To me this was a real cheap way of getting some choice rocks. If you had to visit all them area that they come from you would spend much more that the cost of them. After a trip out west this year and about 12000 miles later I have a lot lot less to show for my efforts and spent many thousands of dollars. Have fun and show us your achievements with them. Thank you, billdean! I can't even begin to imagine how long it would take to collect so many rocks, especially considering it would require a long trip to even find the first decent one! Congrats, Brian! Thanks to all the participants who made this a fun auction to watch. It's had math, it's had drama, it's had poetry...it's had it all!!! Thanks, Garage Rocker! It really did have a lot going for it. And thank you for contributing such an amazing variety of rocks! The kids are going to have fun cutting open those thundereggs! Not to mention admiring all of those other beautiful rocks. Congrats to brian and thanks to all participants. I had a great time watching the event unfold. Thank you, RWA3006! And thank you for tossing in those Wyoming moss agates! Those are going to be fun to see. Congrats Brian! I'm going to pay special care to make sure that the last box I added is loaded with quality pieces for you to enjoy. What an amazing journey of an auction Thanks everyone who got involved and offered up valuable rocks - and those that bid - and the encouragers and cheerleaders I wasn't sure how this was going to go but y'all made it fun and meaningful! And a huge thanks to you, Tommy, for kicking this whole thing off! You got my attention from the start with those picture jaspers! And then you had to throw in those German agates and others to make it even better. It's going to be like Christmas Day each day a box arrives! Excellent! This was a lot of fun watching the auction unfold. Brian , please PM me your mailing address. I'll get to the P.O. on Monday. Thanks! Thanks, paulshiroma! And thank you for adding so many incredible rocks! And then adding even more incredible rocks! My daughter is going to love those colorful ones. Brian Congrats on a hard fought win. You will be having lots of fun in the upcoming weeks. Someone had mentioned we might consider staggering shipping the boxes so they do not all come at once. What do you prefer? Thank you, fernwood, for both your contributions and making this auction even more interesting! Once the dust settles and everything arrives, I will be sending some back your way! I wouldn't worry too much about the post office handling boxes. Most of the boxes will be traveling a long distance and my area is still struggling to catch up with deliveries. Almost everything is taking about a week longer than usual so nothing is predictable.

A big thank you to everyone who makes this forum such an amazing place each and every day!

I tried to do the same, but after a while, that equation got a little too complicated. And thanks for your bids, too! I'm glad I didn't have to bid against myself this time! Hopefully the money raised will help support this place for a long time to come. Let me know what you and A.J. like and I will send some of these rocks along your way, too! We really will have far more than we know what to do with and I know the two of you will put the rocks to a good use!

I would suggest getting all of your material and sorting it out first and putting aside the stuff you've got to have, this might take some time with whats coming your way! When you are ready send me a PM and maybe we could trade MFRB's. I know you were bidding pretty hard in the Pet Wood auction, I could send you some of the materials that I received, also other things we have collected over the years. In the meantime rest up, the postal workers are only going to take those boxes so far.

So I lost track. $615 for how many pounds of rock? Nobody knows for sure. At one point I think jasoninsd estimated it at 150, but more stuff was added after that. It wouldn't surprise me if it adds up to 250.
Brian please weigh your boxes as they come and keep a tally of the weight. It would be really interesting to see what the actual total weight of all these is.

Just a fair warning that it may or may not weigh as much as when you sent it. After traveling all those miles, those rocks are sure to have lost some weight. 😉
