We have prominent layers of clay in our area that comes from the feldspar within the gneiss in the hills nearby. It is difficult to garden in and water is very slow to penetrate it due to the platelet shaped particles that pack so tightly together.

I wonder if it would be suitable for pottery purposes?

If we were able to carry the love and tolerance shown here into the world as a whole and get anyone to follow the example set, who knows what could be born from that?
