I worked in the gravel pits in lower michigan for 17 yrs. I have a pudding stone that weighs 9.8 ton. Does anyone know the best place to advertise such an item? I'm afraid the size will scare off most ppl but there's got to be someone out there that's in the market for such an exotic Rock.

If I understand correctly you have an almost 10 ton pudding stone? That is a lot of pudding stone to try to sell. The size and the shipping costs are going to make it difficult to sell.

Let's try to get Chuck and Rob to chime in if they have time. If anyone knows where the market for an almost 20,000 lb pudding stone it will be them. Is that even legal to collect a stone that size? Drummond Island RocksJugglerguy

We're gonna need more math to figure out how many square feet there is on the surface of a nineteen thousand pound boulder of Puddingstone

I've noticed that it is very popular in that area and a favorite of locals, you may try advertising to businesses nearby. Someone may want a landscape rock...a rather large one. Personally, it's 9.8 tons more pudding stone than I could use.

Big rocks like that pop up on some of the puddingstone Facebook groups. I have heard people say that they’re worth $1 a pound, but I highly doubt that. I never see anyone offer to buy them.

Rather than an individual might try marketing it to architectural/design/landscaping firms for a focal point in on e of thier designs. They have the deep pockets and it would definitely look better than some of the "art" I have seen in places.

What I am hearing is a need to build a ganged drag saw and sell some high dollar counter tops and tables.

I offered a guy a few years ago 2000 dollars for one about 6 estimated tons and he turned me down. It was an exceptional one.
