You're killing the East Coast crowd with those 'leftovers'. It sure is pretty, though.

Love all the rocks, but I really love the view, too!
I like that you have plenty of room for them to grow, as well.

That is some seriously beautiful landscaping!
It seems only fitting to have such landscaping when the views are so incredible, too!

Beautiful rocks! If you change your residence though, make sure you remember where all of them are located *S*

I'll trade you all of the (ahem) beautiful grey matte finish rocks you want for a few of those beauties . Nicely done, a good way to enjoy them until you can work them.

Nice landscaping, for sure.
Next time your "whatever" pile gets too large post a few of those on the sale board. The white brecciated ones look great in the photos.

Oh my gosh! Here I thought my 2" river rock was a nice touch to the yard! LOL I think every member on this forum who likes to go hounding would give their right kidney to be able to hound in YOUR yard! LOL If you ever sell the house, you're going to need to sell to another rock-addict as they'll know the value in your landscaping! I had to show my wife the shot with the view in the background...just breathtakingly beautiful!

All I can say about my rock garden and various rock piles around the yard, "I am not moving!!" I'm sure Mel said that at one point as well. Never say never, you just never know. Good point. In our case we are very happy here and close to very good health care, friends, etc. At this point the only normal thing that get's us to move is a drastic change in health which can always be lurking.

I hear ya, Hank. I'd like to think that I will not have to relocate my hoard of rocks, but the way things are going these days, it's possible we may pull up roots, and get the hell out of Cali, like Mel did.
This after living here forever. Both of us were born right here.

*L* Yeah, we thought we'd never leave California either. Then I looked at our taxes, found out how much it would cost us to build a new house in Hunters Valley, saw they were going after my guns, watched the illegal invasion screw up our county, and just got disgusted with having my vote never count, what with California being a winner take all state. Finally said heck with it and never have looked back. Moving to rural Texas was like moving into the real free America like I grew up in. Save so much by not having state Income tax to more than pay for all our property tax. Everything is cheaper and folks here ( at least till the Commiefornians and illegals ruin this state) are very libertarian and government stays out of our hair. Not to mention Texas is also a big and beautiful state to live in. Still pissed I left so many big rocks in the rock garden though *L*.

The only thing that could keep me in this state after we retire is the kids and I’m working on them to relocate. We’ve been to California a bunch of times on road trips and there is a tremendous amount of natural beauty there that we have enjoyed- hiking, camping, etc., but couldn’t live there for all that you mentioned. Beautiful! That is what I'm starting to do Thanks! What variety of rock are you planting? Mainly we have been gathering wild granite but also am collecting banded iron that we are transplanting from the lake shores
