Could not remember the email and password I created in 2012 so I had to recreate RockHobbit.

I wasn't around back then but welcome home. Sorry to hear of the RA as my grandmother had it and it was quite disabling. while you might not be making cabs or rockhounding anymore you can still pass you knowledge on to us and others in your community.

Hey rockhobbit!! So nice to see you again. Too bad about the old aurthur. My MIL has it real bad and it is so frustrating for her. She tries to be 100% independent but when you can't even open a cereal box or a juice container help is needed (we only live a mile away so we are able to help out a lot).

Welcome back. As the Amerind chief in Josey Wales said, "I am endeavoring to persevere." *L* Had to give up the grinding wheels myself for similar reasons. Just got to be no fun with older age.

Mel, I can't imagine you ever putting away the wheels! I am going to try to pick mine back up again. New meds might put me back in business!

Yeah Sherri, one of the many reasons I moved to Texas was the desire to return to my two old loves, horses and shooting. Lots of space to roam horseback and none of Commiefornia's stupid gun laws. Still like a little rock and fossil hunting but beat up old hands and a desire to spend time in the out of doors instead of slow ass grinding on wheels and constantly fixing my cranky slab saw won out. As we age, time gets more and more precious, and as one of my heroes, Winston Churchill said, "There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man." and "No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle." *S*

Hi Sherri it's great to see you! Been great but had to mostly quit cabbing due to intense tendonitis so I can somewhat relate. Ain't moving to Texas yet tho haha. Just so you know your old metal cabinet is being put to good use so thank you again for the good deal on that - and drocknut for storing it for me for a while.

Hey, Sherri! Super glad to see you again! Sorry to hear about the RA ...
And speaking of changes/moves, my eldest, Andrew, starts college next year. Nathaniel heads off to high school. Haven't moved yet although I'm still looking! LOL

Hi Sherri, welcome back to the forum. I'm in AZ now, probably not too far from where you were. I allegedly have osteoarthritis in both thumbs, a scoop of beef gelatin in my coffee concoction every morning does a pretty good job of keeping it at bay. Hoping for the best for you.
