whooo hoo, playing my friend's slot machine last week paid off, had 7's on my mind... thx... I'll have to get a box out your way in return. Not sure if you want to add it to your total, but sent a pkg... ( I was traveling during the actual auction time) so my minor contribution to the effort. Few local jasper/agates (one new site I haven't cut yet), local pet wood, thundereggs, obsidian, snakeskin, couple carnelians, Maury Mtn, and I think a Brazillian hitched a ride... I'll let you decide whether it gets added to the contest total  |

Wow, oregon! Thank you so much!! Sounds like an awesome mix! I don’t want to unilaterally change the rules mid-contest, so I will let the folks guessing have a say in whether to add that to the total. Or perhaps to spice things up even more, I will add a third gift card to the pot to include the additional incoming box. After all, the point of this contest is a big thank you to the folks here at RTH (both the ones who donated and those who contribute every day by posting and making this place what it is)! So, to sum up my thinking-as-I-type update, keep those guesses coming (1 per day) and I will add a new prize for the total weight with this new post-auction addition. |

Day Something Update: A few things to update today. First of all, due to unforeseen circumstances, there is a new total to the number of boxes. And I'm not talking about the new bonus box from oregon. That will still be counted as a bonus box to award a third bonus prize. I'm talking about a whole other box from one of the already generous donors that I wasn't expected. That brings the total number of boxes to 13!?! Plus a bonus box! Next, we have an update to the leaderboard. We actually have a tie due to two identical guesses. Since this isn't the final number, I'll let that one slide (and because I didn't catch it earlier to say anything). That means this one is going to be a pretty big hint for anyone willing to go through and see what number those identical guessers guessed. There are still two boxes (plus the bonus box), so adjust the guesses accordingly! And before I forget amongst all this rambling, the new leaders are rockpickerforever and lookatthat! |

Daily Update: Not much to report today. No more boxes have arrived and the leaders are still rockpickerforever and lookatthat. It looks like everyone is dialing in their guesses now that the boxes are almost all accounted for. Based on the latest tracking info, Friday may be the big day. Keeps those guesses coming. I ordered a bunch of Rock Shed gift cards tonight, so they should be ready to go out once the contest is over. |

All previous ones are null and void? What I'm asking is, if I am happy with my current answer, am I shooting myself in the foot if I select another number? Just wondering... |
