This material works beautifully. No need to stabilize, no undercutting and the polish can't be beat.

Awesome- love the details. Is that a natural stone? I never heard of it. It's beautiful either way.

I just googled it. I thought it had that Mojave look to it. It is man made, but it sure looks sweet!

Wonder if there are different types. I have seen some rough rocks called Gibbsite.

Wonder if there are different types. I have seen some rough rocks called Gibbsite. There is a mineral called Gibbsite but in this case Gibbsite is a trade name. This stuff is man made or maybe assembled would be a better term. The main components are crushed turquoise and pyrite.

I didn’t think it had any copper... just aluminum hydroxide

Another fine pendant. I have only seen this in green and as a mineral specimen. I did a search, is this called Bisbee Turquoise Gibbsite?

Very cool pendant! I had never heard of Gibbsite, either. I'm always learning something new around here.

I love the pendant design...and of course I love that stone! I've never heard of Gibbsite...but that means NOTHING...as I've rarely heard of half the material posted. However, once I hear of them, they go on my "to get" list...and this might just go there!

I can't confirm whether or not it is called also Bisbee Turquoise Gibbsite. It seems the like whole rock naming business is rather loosey goosey. It becomes even more confusing when the material is man made. My son has a good system for identifying stones....blue stone, green stone, red and white stripey stone, etc....

Is that reticulated or did you get the texture another way?

Is that reticulated or did you get the texture another way? Texturing was done on the rolling mill. For this particular piece I used pattern paper from Rolling Mill Resources. I have not yet tried reticulation but I want to give it a try. I have some 80% silver and am searching for a good tutorial to get me started.

I really like the look of this...nice work! I think reticulation would give a somewhat similar appearance.

Another super pendant, waiting for you to run out of Ideas but not like that is going to happen anytime soon. Thank you for sharing.
I am betting that stone is man made. Still a stunner.
