My wife has been itching to try her hand at either rock tumbling or metal detecting. In recent days, she made up her mind--tumbling it is. We've been watching the YouTube channel "Michigan Rocks" (RTH user Jugglerguy ) for a year or so, and really enjoy the "Rocks in a Box" videos.
Inspired by this thread by indiana , I've ordered up a bunch of pieces and parts, to build us a durable tumbler...and hopefully avoid having to replace plastic bushings. I'll post a build thread, if it all comes together as planned.
Looking forward to spending time here with you all, learning more about the new family hobby.

Welcome from Wisconsin. "...bunch of pieces and parts..." It is always interesting to see what people can build.
