Those are great! Every which way you flip those slabs there's a new picture/scene that shows up, very cool. What do you do with them from here? I'm not sure. I polish some and just put the others away for now. I mostly just like to see what's hiding inside This is exactly why I am so enamored with Thundereggs...and now Teepee Canyon Agate nodules have the same effect. It is almost uncontrollably exciting while that initial cut is being made to open it up and reveal the "surprise" that's been hiding away for eons! You've got some great cuts and some amazing pictures!

Thanks Jason. I've been drooling over some of your recent cuts too. Stupid rocks and their mind controlling effects.

Some nice looking finds on the river! I love that backlit picture with the "feline" in it!

This one probably heard me coming. First coral I've ever found up here Pretty cool agate I'm not sure what these are. Could they be sea sponges?

I think what you have there, are corals, not pet wood.
I forget the name of the first one, thinking the second is a type of hexagonaria, a colonial coral (see how the cells are hex shaped?).
The last one, is, without a doubt, syringopora coral.
Nice finds!

Holy crap! LOL - I don't know how I missed your 7/10 posts! I loved that ear! I find a lot of syringopora coral out at Railroad Buttes here in SD. I'm probably wrong, but that second picture from today looks like Stromatolite. Looks like some nice moss agates today as well. I think my favorite find from today is that second one from the bottom...it looks like moss agate with parasites...in a "cool" way!

It's a waterline agate and is perfectly flat on that side. That weird looking one you called stromatolite looks like it has barnacles in it especially in the lower left. I'm excited to cut it open to see what's going on inside.

Thanks for the link Jason. After looking at the pictures I believe you are right. Those cabs are cool from that stuff. I'm not sure mine is agatized, it looks more like chert I guess. The saw will tell the tale I hope. My brother is coming up this weekend from your neck of the woods. Maybe he and I will tip a few back and open up a few rocks.

I heard it's better to tip them back AFTER cutting the rocks. I learned that from my friend "Four Finger Freddy"! LOL Where does your brother hang his hat?
