Aw drat. 😒 It does play for me, oddly enough. What sort of device are you viewing it on? (I’m using an iPad, which what I used to upload...don’t know if that makes a difference or not.)

If you can see it, but no one else can, more likely than not, you'll need to change a setting allowing others to see it.

Edit to add - When I click on it, it offers to allow me to download it. 7 MB. I've never uploaded a movie to Cloudinary, so don't know. But there's gotta be a setting that needs changing.

Edit again - Now that I think about it, I've tried to post a video on RTH once some time ago, but the Proboards (?) software is fussy about the source of the videos. Seems to me, they mostly only like YouTube videos.

Oh, and I can't see it on my HP desktop (Win 7), or my android phone.

aaaaaand, this may be the push I needed to create a new YouTube channel. 😘

ETA: when not logged into this forum- and cookies cleared- I can still watch the videos on my iPad and do not get a prompt to download. 🧐

When I tried to play it, I got a pop-up notification saying "a plug-in on this forum had failed to run."

Here's some info from the Proboard member guide:

Insert Video

If you found a video on the internet that you would like to share with other forum members, you can embed the video into your post. When this is done, a video player will appear in a thread after your post is made. The forum software supports a variety of video services to embed from, as well as supports direct links to video files you have hosted with a file host.

When creating a new thread or post, find the Insert Video button on the posting page to begin embedding a video to your post. Once you click this button, a pop up will display asking for the Video URL, as well as be able to view a list of supported video websites. Simply paste in the URL of the video you would like to embed in your post; you can find the URL of the video either by copying directly from the web address in your web browsers address bar, or through a direct link provided by the share options of the video service you're linking from. Once you have the URL pasted in, click the Insert Video button at the bottom of the pop up window. Now in the posting area, you should see an image placeholder for where the video player will be positioned in your post. After you create the post, the video will display in that spot.

I guess they do accept more than just YouTube (but that's what they seem to prefer). But it is telling when they say "If you found a video on the internet that you would like to share with other forum members... - it tells me they don't like people's personal video.

Nope. Now I get a pop-up saying "an add-on for this website failed to run."

ETA - Just got another message saying "Support for Windows 7 ended on January 14, 2020 ." It was going to use Windows Media Player to play it.

Yeah well, nothing I can do about that, lol. NOT gonna upgrade(?) to 10, or any other new one.

Bottom line, it's possible some people can view it, just not me because of my out of date computer stuff
