I don't know how many of you know this, so I thought I would share.
A 50 ft tree dropped on greig- broke his back in 2 places, shattered his leg, knocked him out, knocked the wind out of him, collapsed a lung and then a tick had the audacity to bite him!
Send Greig some healing power- he's been through the ringer!!!

No, I hadn't heard this yet. That's such a shame, was it recently? Either way, get better soon, greig!!

Oh no! I don’t know him personally but he seems like such a warm guy who would click with anyone.
What an awful accident! I can only hope he recovers quickly and fully.

I hope that you're OK and healing well, greig! Cutting trees can be dangerous — even smaller ones. A few years ago, my neighbor and I were discussing which trees between our properties that we might take out. We were standing next to a tall, dead alder that was only about 8 inches in diameter at the base. So I decided to cut it down... ...and, as we watched it fall away from us, the top of it hit another tree. The alder snapped in half and the top half came right back at us. It missed my head by inches.

Wow!! That's one serious accident. Glad to see he doing ok and his spirits are up. Have to think he was very, very lucky as this could have been so much worse.

Dang, greig ! You're not supposed to cushion a tree with your body when you fell it. At least you survived the tree trouble, now you've just got to rest up and heal. I just cannot believe how calm you were when the paramedics came. You actually seemed in a pretty good mood, despite the pain I know you were in. Thank your higher power you were able to crawl to your truck, and call your daughter. Great that her neighbor was able to get her to you, and bring Daisy home. She was such a happy dog to see you when you came home. Everything worked like it was planned! Funny that this little adventure didn't even involve rocks! Thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. You take care of yourself now, ya hear?

greig sorry to hear about your accident and hope you mend quickly. I used to have a sawmill and did a lot of professional logging. Falling trees is fairly technical and is so easy to get hurt even for the pros. I think sometimes it's better to be lucky than good at it.

Yikes ! That's terrible greig I hope you get well soon. When I was working in the woods, felling trees always scared the crap out of me.

So sorry to hear this news, greig. I wish you a speedy recovery. I hate that you went through this experience alone, but you obviously had what it takes inside to survive something like this. Glad you willed yourself to your phone and reached help. I can't imagine what your daughter was going through trying to reach you. It looks like she was able to reach the right people, though. The video of your rescue was intense. I was so happy to see the reunion with Daisy. That was one happy dog! I don't know how you didn't tear up. Gett well.

greig Man that was a close one. Glad you are recovering. Got to be careful my man these things can sneak up and bite us in the butt when we least expect it. PS. I hope that tick got what he deserved. Heal up and hope to see more posts and vids soon.
