Hey guys I'm new to tumbling and have about a gallon of stones I got out of the Cape May NJ water by the sunken concrete ship. I tumbled some smaller stone with sand I took from the beach and salt water I took from the ocean to keep the process as organic as possible.then I tryed to use the stuff the tumbler came with and it made my diamonds more cloudy. And now need to purchase some grit because the tumbler came with garbage grit and the sand is not working on my larger rocks. What is the best grit to use guys there are so many to choose from I am trying to polish my stones right now with dolostone I crushed that is dolomite and lymestone my wife brought back a few hundred pounds of it in Herkimer New York where she went rockhounding for herkimer diamonds.
