My son (who turns 4 tomorrow) has been helping me very patiently since we started in mid March. His patience has finally paid off, and the day before his birthday, we got shiny rocks! This is just a mix of rough rocks from The Rock Shed. Most of them turned out really good, but I had some issues with some of the quartz. It was fine after the 500 AO stage, but then for some reason developed some rough areas and cracks while running in polish. You can't really see it in any of these pictures though.
In the first picture, the darker brown one with vertical (relative to the camera) banding on the right, and in the second picture in the bottom center, is his favorite. Every single week that we've done a cleanout, his very first question is, "Am I going to see my favorite rock this time??" He was especially excited for that one to be finished.

Very nice group, looks like you have the patience part down for sure. And it's awesome that your son is interested! Good work!

Great job! That green stuff is a tough one. My kids put some of that in the first tumble we did and I am still trying to fix some of the messy areas in the vibe. Ours look nowhere near as good as yours though.

Fantastic job on the first batch! I think it's beyond awesome your son has developed an interest...and sounds like he's being pretty patient for someone his age - better than a lot of us who are a LOT older!!

So pretty! Did you use a macro lens to shoot the afters? I have a clip on macro lens for my phone. It's not super great, but it's decent.
