This is my first big star ruby boule. I spent 5 minutes to see how the star looked. It turned out pretty good. It seems to have more color zones than the blue ones but I’m still extremely happy.
After polishing the end, it’s still around 81 grams or 405 ct. I need to get a bigger box to store these things. They are mostly easy to orient the stars. I have three medium size boules where the stars are about 75 degrees off the c-axis. I’m still trying to figure out how to saw them into cabbable pieces.
I’m kind of an old codger to still be buying stuff. I feel sorry for my kids. One of my daughters has a feel for this star stuff.
