My goodness. We had major thunderstorms roll through here this morning. We have a lot of local fires burning. The smoke has been terrible. This crazy hot summer can end anytime.

Hopefully the rain helped with some of the fires (and didn't cause any more) and washed some of that smoke out of the air.

It’s been a weird summer. Last night we had a severe thunderstorm with dime-sized hail. It took my wife an hour and a half to pick up the kids from summer camp, which is 4 miles away. There were trees down all over the area.
Last week, we had a sudden downpour of over an inch in 15 minutes. The same storm dropped over 10 inches of rain 15 miles up the road.
Luckily we don’t have to put up with any fires!
Stay safe out there!!

Last year we got double our yearly average of rain. Looks like this year is on-track to do it again.

Feel free to send some rain my way. It's been 30+ almost every other day in July, and basically zero rain. Lots of wind though....I'd prefer hail to being whipped in the face with gravel. No fires here on the prairies though.
