Looks like Hampton Butte petrified wood. Here is a piece we had cut in half so it would fit in our saw a couple of weeks ago.

hummingbirdstones I had seen that image when you posted it and it's so cool. You called it, I was over near Hampton Butte and that happens to be my fave material. I agree the second pic looks like wood which is why I picked it up. The pix are a tad misleading... 1- bucket o'material 2- what I believe is petwood 3-outside of jasper agate 4- first cuts of #3 It's all been super crystalline when cut. I'll have to grab another piece that looks like wood and cut it. Thanks for playing!
