So very sorry but turquoise is not white inside. The color should be the same even if you cut it. Looks like something that was dye. Could be Howlite or one of several other things. I am not an expert but I stay as far away from turquoise as I can so much is fake these days

There is a quick test for dyed material like Turquoise. Soak in acetone for about an hour then wipe on a white cotton cloth. Most of the cheaper dyes will leave a color mark on the cloth. You must use 100% acetone not nail polish remover. We used to do a kids program with Howlite and Ty-D-Bowl. Then used a black ink pen to put fake veins on it. The goal was to see who could make the most realistic chunk of Turquoise. Not PC so we had to stop doing it.
