Was a complete rock hound (nerd) as a young boy. Now I'm old and picking up where I left off! Just started stage 2 on my new tumbler. Looking forward to my rock adventure! Thanks for having me.

I am a new member, also in Texas. I haven’t posted my introductory info but I think this will be a good group to be a member of. Like most kids growing up I liked rocks, flat ones to skip across the water, round ones for a sling shot, and pretty ones to put in my pocket. Now well into retirement years I decided to check the area stream beds to look for interesting stones to make into pendants. My first three were gifts for my wife, daughter, and grand daughter. They were excited with my efforts and my grand daughter has decided we need to be tumbling so our first batch is running in our National Geographic machine.
