Nate and I set up today and sold at the Hairy Mosquito in Milaca, MN Had a great turnout! The bonus however was me spending more than we made There was a young man down from us that had a very wide variety of rough, slabs, specimens, gemstones, etc. Turns out his mom passed away and he is cleaning house. Nate initially bought this stone and was gonna post it for further ID, but with a little research we came up with it Cedar Rim Opal (I ended up buying almost all of his rough) I also got a piece of Crysophase A cab of what is either Brenda or Paul Bunyan A 6lb piece of Leopard Jasper A slab of Cotton Candy A slab of what I think is Tiffany A rough piece of what I believe is Vistite 2 rough of unknown and a bag of Psiliomine (sp?) Not all photoed yet All in all it was a fantastic day and we will be back out there tomorrow

Sorry Robin, the rest of the pieces are in the shop or buried in the truck yet. We'll update this tomorrow as Sundays are usually slower according to another vendor.
Ali sold several of her jewelry pieces. I'm so proud of her! ❤️ I like to brag up that she did all the smithing and electroforming & they're all one of a kind pieces.
And the bonus is we actually made more than we spent, so that's good 👍

No worries, Nate. I'm not THAT impatient!
Ali it looks like it could be Paul Bunyan to me, too. Congrats on the sales!

Congrats on the sales and gets both! By strange coincidence I also picked up a slab of cotton candy and some fluorescents from a show today but here in Ca. The chrysoprase is gorgeous!

Thank you. It is a lot of fun I have a cab that Mr. Larson gave me and everything since I've been keeping an eye out for it. I'm pretty sure that's what it is.

There just happened to be a gentleman with a fluorescent tent set up and so to confirm my ID I asked him if I could check out this rock. It was a nice surprise to see it glow

Some more I forgot about the MHPJ Also, looking at it closer I think it's Chapenite, not CC And then an unknown, I was gonna guess some type of Burro Creek, but it's more of a darker tan

Congratulations on the sales you two! And you definitely got a nice haul of material! I was excited when I read you picked up some Cotton Candy...but I think you're right on the Chapenite. (Not that I'm all that good at ID's! LOL) Good luck on sales today...and I can't wait to see what you two (I guess three now) pick up today!

Here's my finds so far... Crazy lace, a piece we think is possibly Sonoran dendritic? (The colors seem right but it's more or orbicular than dendritic), a polished Bruno? & Oscar the Grouch after he got a knuckle sandwich 🤣

We had a lot of fun and we did come out ahead for the weekend.
We picked up some more rocks including a really gorgeous piece of seraphinite
That also makes it our last show for the year
This weekend is a trip north to see Mr. Larson. Stay tuned

Alright here's a few quick photos of the serafinite. I know it's soft so it'll melt on the wheels, but (if I ever cut it) is there any advice for slabbing it? I figure use water because it seems porous but do I need to worry about it crumbling?
