it was a beautiful day, so I did some fence line walking in Central WI. Photos taken wet in a beer flat. Size reference is the rings. 1 2 3 4 5 I really like this one. Banding, crystals and oodles of oolites. 6 This one is kind of strange. The black areas are quartz like. 7 8 This has to be my favorite. Banded Chalcedony? Jasper? Some of the red and purple areas have crystals. I also like the abundant pieces of multi-colored quartz. The fields will be harvested and plowed soon, so I will be back out then. Thanks for looking.

In the Midwest farmer's fields are the best. I always look for the big tree left in the field because that is where the farmer will pile the rocks. They will pick them up and pile them in the spring when they plow. I always ask first but have never been told no. Great finds. Thanks for posting the photos.
