I am wondering if there a name beyond "puddingstone" for this rock. Like " Lakota Puddingstone" since it is found in the Lakota formation. Or Lame Johnny Puddingstone since it is found on Lame Johnny Creek.
Just curious and thought some of you SD locals had any insight.
TIA

I have never run across any other vernacular used to describe it other than "Puddingstone". Now, remember, I'm not all that experienced with identifications or proper names. So maybe someone with a LOT more experience will chime in.
I've found several pieces of Puddingstone, but the material I find has the light grey matrix to it rather than a dark grey matrix like in that picture in the link you posted.
