We found our Lortone LU6-X likely had a bad bearing when we got it. It got a bit louder each time we used it. When we got our little holiday grinder it was so quiet we could talk while grinding. I’m having a bit of trouble with the failed bearing it seems rusted to the shaft. Gonna use combo of heat and penetrating oil and possibly and angle grinder as a last resort. Bearings are cheap. $20 for 2

But I’m excited as well because once it is fixed we will have it for our preform and hard wheel machine with room for 4 soft wheels on the Holiday.

Every day after work I watch the boys while the ladies make dinner. So I have just a few minutes here and there to tinker. Just tonight I finally got the rusted bearing off. New ones were supposed to arrive today but Amazon has delayed them. I have a new diamond blade for the trim saw, when my consignments come back for the month I should be able to swing a couple of new hard wheels
