I hope someone can help me with this. I bought a refurbished Lortone LS-18 recently. The thing has been a nightmare so far. I think I have fixed all of the issues except 1. The spring that holds the clutch in place is stretched out to the point that it pops off during operation. Does anyone out there know where I can find a replacement spring?

Did you try your local hardware store or farm supply? The ACE by me has a real good selection of springs. I know that Lortone no longer sales the saws, but i would guess that they still have a good selection of parts, might be worth a phone call or email.

I did try an ACE but the clerk didn’t seem very knowledgeable. Also trying to contact Lortone but no response yet. A man who helped me fix it also said ACE should have one so maybe I will check another store if I don’t hear from Lortone. Thanks for the tip!

Might be wild goose chase as there are 1000's of options but you might find something here www.mcmaster.com/springs/Even if you do, you may have to buy 5 or 10. Good luck!
