After my truck decided to take a day off and have it's starter fail, I've been stuck at home for the day. Seemed like a perfect opportunity to put together this little project I've been trying to do..... Couple of things...
1. I have a long way to go in Macro 2. These are all stones I've found in Lake Michigan only (99% Grand Mere and Van Buren State Park)
3. I'll keep this updated as I replace stones, probably just post a picture of the new stone and the place I decided on 4. I shuffle these around often, so the order will change sporadically, some stones just grow on me. But they will always be in order from 1-50
5. I have no idea what 90% of these are so if anyone feels confident in naming them, have at it.
The order of these might seem strange as some are more photogenic than others, but it's partially how they look in person, how well they tumble, and how rare I've deemed them. There are many on this list I've only found one time so to me they are all the more "valuable"
I'll try and update some of the bad macro photos when I get time I'm just posting a link to the album, opting to do that over maintaining the 50 pictures over time....maybe I'll do it. I guess let me know, I can post all 50 pictures here, just didn't want to create a mammoth thread...the pictures at hand are much easier to view I'll admit.
Thanks for checking 'em out

Nice looking rocks If you tap on your starter with a hammer or tire iron, you may be able to start your truck again. Good luck

Actually, I think I used a rock hammer that I had in my vehicle the last time...true story.

Good luck I'm about a 3.5 / 10 on a mechanical scale....I wouldn't have guessed that would work. Guess there wasn't much to lose at that point lol. The shop should be throwing a new one on and (fingers crossed) everything is back to normal tomorrow
And thank you

Another vote for the album presentation. Cool rocks and I like the different sizes of the photos, keeps it interesting.

Nice! Looks a LOT like my Lake Erie finds! I have my first batch I’m actually happy about that I took out of my lot-o today! I think it’s **technically** my third batch. But first two were rotary only.
Maybe tomorrow. Today didn’t happen for photos.
Thanks so much for sharing! Your photos are definitely better than my cell phone pics! Camera next? Maybe another X-mas gift??!! 🤣🤣🤣

That is a top notch photo gallery of some very cool Michigan rock. I will comment more on them when I get a chance, but for now, just wanted to thank you for sharing. I've got to tag Jugglerguy to make sure he doesn't miss it. Rob has tumbled more Michigan rocks (by far) than anyone I know.

I pretty much learned everything I know from his vids. I remember watching his rocks in box series and comparing what he finds to what I had.

Maybe some of it's nostalgia, but I'd think they were meant to be found
My mom randomly gifted me her digital and manual camera, she's an excellent photographer, so I feel like I need to at least make an attempt at using them. The cell phone is just tooo easy not use often lol.

Same here (about Rob's videos). I'm in SE Michigan, but I still find a lot of the same rocks around here that he finds quite a ways further north.

That's a really cool album! Thanks for posting these. I'll also say thanks for providing the "behind the scenes" picture of your setup for taking pics.

Those are some nice looking rocks with a great shine. Thanks for sharing. My favorite is 9320, the yellowish orangish one with the wavy lines.
