Hi. I am new to West Texas. I have been to some of my husband's job sites and found some amazing agates. The beautiful colors have me digging where ever possible for more. Lol. Would love to know where and what to look for to uncover more of this earths beauty.

Welcome from Charles Town WV. (Think John Brown's pre-Civil War raid.) The folks on here are VERY knowledgable and willing to share that knowledge!

I'd say looking downward as opposed to upward will yield better results! What to look for? Well, that really does depend on what your plans with the finds are going to be. If it's purely for the "aesthetics" of a rock...well...that is so subjective. I will say, some of the nicest looking - and most variable material is found in West Texas!

Hi, my name is Gary. Looking to start tumbling or vibrating. I live in Utah and have access to some Veracite, Geodes, Topaz and other assorted rocks. I do know you don't tumble Geodes or Topaz. Trying to figure out what type of polisher would be best. Right now I'm leaning towards a vibrating unit. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
